We are dedicated to addressing a significant need in the Edmonton area by offering volleyball showcases that provide young athletes with the opportunity to be scouted by coaches from various levels, including club volleyball, U Sports, NCAA, NAIA, and Junior Colleges. In alignment with our commitment to making volleyball accessible and affordable, we are diligently working to maintain low registration fees. Our goal is to ensure that every aspiring athlete has the chance to be seen and to pursue their volleyball dreams without financial barriers.

What is a Club Volleyball Showcase?
What is a Club Volleyball Showcase? At Northern Lights Athletic Club, we understand the chaos that often accompanies club volleyball tryouts. We remember the challenges of being new to the sport. Not knowing were to start, registering for multiple tryouts, and blindly prioritizing which tryout to attend first. We recall the rushing between venues and the tears on athletes' faces as they navigate tryouts, courts, and locations. Our goal is to reduce the chaos for athletes, families, and coaches.
A Club Volleyball Showcase offers a unique opportunity for athletes and families who are new to the sport, new to the city, or seeking opportunities among various club volleyball teams. Athletes will participate in a two-hour session on the court to showcase their skills in drills and gameplay without the added stress of Letters of Intent (LOIs) or the need to leave early for another tryout.
For families, this showcase provides a chance to explore different club options before committing to a club. There is an opportunity to research different clubs and their coaches to find the optimal fit for your family. In the past, athletes may sign with teams without fully understanding the club’s plan because declining a pre-sign LOI means facing the uncertainty of tryouts again.
Coaches registered for the showcase will have the opportunity to scout athletes on one court, without the distraction of running drills and before any tryouts or pre-signing. This is your chance to see what talent is available to bolster your team. Athlete and family information will be provided to coaches who register with us. There is no registration fee for coaches.
The showcase will be capped at 18 athletes per court to ensure more visibility. The showcase will take the athletes through drills and gameplay. Each athlete will receive a numbered t-shirt, allowing coaches to identify them as they observe from the sidelines. Access to the video will be available to all athletes to use for their own viewing and future recruiting highlights.

University Volleyball Showcases
Are you striving to play at the next level? Northern Lights Athletic Club is well aware of the many options that youth have to continue their volleyball career into post-secondary. Many aspire to play in the NCAA, while others prefer to stay close to home. Regardless of your choice, we want to help facilitate your journey.
We are not a recruiting platform or agency. Instead, we provide you with the court time to play the game you love while U Sports, ACAC, NCAA, and NAIA coaches evaluate you.
Volleyball showcases play a crucial role in the recruiting process for student-athletes. These events offer a unique opportunity for athletes to demonstrate their skills and athleticism in front of college coaches and recruiters. By participating in showcases, athletes can gain valuable exposure and increase their chances of being recruited by post-secondary institutions.
At Northern Lights Athletic Club, athletes will be provided with a numbered t-shirt that corresponds with their graduation year. The courts will be capped at 18 athletes, allowing for more contacts and personalized attention. The showcase will take athletes through a two-hour session that includes drills designed to highlight their skills, followed by gameplay.
Showcases will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube Channel for registered coaches and athletes to access. There is no cost for coaches to register. Registered coaches will receive a list of athletes that includes their contact information. Athletes will be kept up-to-date on which schools are attending or registered to view the video. Although we will make our best effort to have coaches register, it is equally important for athletes to notify schools of their participation in our showcase so that coaches can register for access to the video.
Participating in volleyball showcases is essential for student-athletes aiming to play at the next level. These events provide a platform for athletes to showcase their talents, receive constructive feedback, and gain exposure to post-secondary opportunities.
